Walibi Rhône-Alpes

I could repeat my trip report from Walibi Sud-Ouest here, as there is not a lot of difference between these two Walibi parks. The ride lineup is 90% identical and the staff mentality 100%. It doesn't please me to report that both the Walibi parks we visited on this trip exemplify the worst aspects of theme park in the world: slow service, slower ride turn-around, staff with hardly any enthusiasm for their jobs. It seems time has stood still for these Walibi parks. The Six Flags chain invested some money in them, then sold them off--and they have been living off that glory for all these years. No new coasters have added to either park for more than ten years. Unless management kick some butt and add some decent attractions,  I can see the parks deteriorating over time. The only thing that's keeping them afloat is lack of solid competition.

It's hard to find any good points about the parks, but I'll try to finish this segment with something positive: both parks are kept clean and have a fair selection of rides to keep their visitors happy. But for how long? Only time will tell!

Scratch is a Zamperla wild mouse that has been operating at Walibi Rhône-Alpes since 2002. It was was called Zig Zag between 2002 and 2011.
